Abstract

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the philosophical foundations of the concepts of «essence»(mahiyyya) and «being» (wujud) in the metaphysical doctrine of Ibn Sina. Drawing upon the workDanishname, the study examines the relationship between essence and being, the distinction between neces-sary and contingent being, as well as the problems of substance and accident, causality and necessity. Theconcept of the «Necessary Being» is interpreted as the primordial foundation of all existence and the ultimatebasis of the causal chain, thereby demonstrating the transcendent nature and unity of the Creator. Further-more, the article analyzes the classification of sciences and their role in the cognition of being, Ibn Sina’s re-flections on matter and form, accidents and categories, and highlights their significance within the history ofIslamic philosophy. Based on the interpretations of contemporary scholars (A.V. Sagadeev, T.Ibrahim,M.Dinorshoev), a modern philosophical assessment of Ibn Sina’s ontological and theological views is provid-ed. The study concludes that Ibn Sina’s metaphysical system established universal methodological founda-tions for understanding the essence and structure of being, and that his ideas have influenced not only Islamicthought but also global philosophy as a whole.
